木版画 奥嵯峨夕暮れ奥嵯峨夕暮れ
今月の作品はその愛宕山の登り口である清滝鳥居本にある藁葺き屋根の建物に積もる雪景色です。
老舗であるこの店も昔は愛宕山頂の神社にお参りをする人たちのための茶店が始まりと聞いています。愛宕神社は防火・火伏せの守り神として知られていて、毎年7月31日の夜から8月1日の明け方の千日詣に参詣すると千日分の効果があると言われ、今でも4キロの険しい参道を、足下を照らす灯りを頼りに数万人の人が登り、授かったお札を台所の高いところに掲げるのが京都の風習です。
奥嵯峨と呼ばれるこのあたりは、秋の紅葉の季節はもちろん新録の青もみじの頃の清滝川沿いを歩くと、少し湿り気のある空気に混ざる苔の匂いや、風に揺らぐ紅葉を通して差し込む木漏れ日に包まれて心が深く癒やされていくのを感じます。井堂雅夫もこの風景に惹かれ、何度も写生を繰り返し作品にしています。
訪れる人もまばらとなった雪におおわれた冬の景色が、井堂雅夫によってどこか温かさを感じる木版画作品となりました。
“The Dusk of Okusaga”
This month's work is a snowy landscape
piled up on a thatched-roof building at Kiyotaki Toriimoto, the entrance to Mt.
Atago.
I heard that this long-established shop also started as a teahouse for people who visit the shrine at the top of Mt. Atago.
Atago Shrine is known as a guardian deity of fire prevention and fire prostrate, and it is said that visiting Atago Shrine from the night of July 31 to the dawn of August 1 every year has the effect of 1,000 days, and even now, it is a custom in Kyoto to climb the 4-kilometer steep approach to the shrine relying on the lights that illuminate their feet, and to hang the talisman they receive high in the kitchen.
In this area called Okusaga, when you walk along the Kiyotaki River during the blue maple season of the new record, as well as the autumn foliage season, you can feel your heart deeply healed by the smell of moss mixed with the slightly damp air and the sunlight shining through the autumn leaves swaying in the wind.
Masao Ido was also attracted to this scenery and repeatedly made drawings into works.
The winter scenery covered with snow, which was sparsely visited by visitors, became a woodblock print work by Masao Ido that somehow felt warm.
